OptiWand is a handheld contact lens handling tool. One end is a soft pincher tip made from liquid silicone rubber that you use to grab and position a soft lens instead of using your bare fingers. It is sold in three configurations: a single 1.75-inch portable tool, a two-pack of the Small variant, and a pink three-pack. All of them share the same soft silicone design.

You bring the silicone tip into contact with the lens and use it to lift the lens away from your eye or to place it back on, rather than gripping the lens with your finger pads. The soft tip is what does the work, which is the whole point — no direct finger contact with your eye.

The standard tool is listed at 1.75 inches and is described as having a precise pincher end for small eye cavities and sensitive fingers. The two-pack uses the same soft silicone design but is the Small variant, aimed at tighter eye shapes and smaller hands. If you are not sure which fits you, the single tool is the cheaper way to find out before committing to a multi-pack.

It is designed for exactly that group — people who find it hard or unpleasant to touch their eye with a finger. That said, it is a technique-dependent tool, and the mixed overall rating (see question 11) suggests it clicks for some users quickly and takes real practice for others. If you wear lenses daily, give yourself a week of practice before deciding whether it is for you.
